1. Introduction

Promethean Link is operated by Promethean Robotics LLC, an Indiana limited liability company, United States ("the Operator" or "we"). This Privacy Policy describes what limited information we collect and how we handle it. Because Promethean Link operates entirely on your local network, we collect very little data.

2. Information We Collect

Promethean Link is designed to operate exclusively on your local area network (LAN). We collect only the minimum necessary:

• License validation — when the app validates your subscription, it contacts Lemon Squeezy's License API and sends your license key and a hashed device fingerprint (a one-way hash generated from your device's hardware identifiers). This allows Lemon Squeezy to confirm your subscription is active. The Operator does not receive this data.
• Update checks — the app periodically checks GitHub for new released versions. This request does not include personal information; it is a simple HTTP request to a public repository.
• Purchase information — when you subscribe via Lemon Squeezy, Lemon Squeezy collects your email address, name, and payment information to process the transaction and deliver your license key. This data is held by Lemon Squeezy (the merchant of record) and is governed by Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy.
• Website analytics — this website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It does not use cookies, fingerprinting, or persistent identifiers. It reports only aggregate page views and referrer information. No personal data is collected by this analytics system.

3. Data That Never Leaves Your Network

The core functionality of Promethean Link processes all of the following data exclusively on your local machines and never transmits it to the Operator or any third party (except your own computers):

• Keyboard and mouse input
• Clipboard contents (text, images, and other data)
• Game controller input
• Files transferred between your computers
• Remote-desktop video and audio streams
• Computer names, layouts, and pairing information

All data is encrypted with TLS using keys generated locally on your network. No certificate authority, cloud service, or third-party server is involved in the encryption or transmission of this data.

4. How We Use Information

The Operator uses the limited information it directly collects solely to:

• Respond to support requests or technical issues (if you contact us at support@promethean-link.com);
• Comply with applicable law.

The Operator does not sell, share, rent, or disclose your personal information to third parties for marketing or any other purpose. Lemon Squeezy (the payment processor and merchant of record) uses your purchase information in accordance with their own Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

License validation calls do not generate persistent records held by the Operator. When you contact support, we retain your email and the content of your request to assist you and improve our service. You may request deletion of support correspondence at any time. Purchase records and subscription data are retained by Lemon Squeezy in accordance with their retention policies and applicable law (typically 7 years for tax purposes).

6. Security

All communication between your computers via Promethean Link is encrypted with TLS. Network communication to Lemon Squeezy's License API and to GitHub occurs over HTTPS. We take reasonable measures to protect your license key and any support communications from unauthorized access, but no system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your license key and account credentials.

7. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

The Operator works with the following third parties:

• Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC) — payment processing, subscription management, and license delivery. Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record and data controller for your purchase information. See their Privacy Policy. The Operator may receive your name and email address from Lemon Squeezy solely to provide customer support.
• GitHub — the app checks GitHub for new releases. See GitHub's Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare — this website is hosted on Cloudflare's network and uses Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless). See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts — this website loads fonts from Google Fonts CDN. See Google's Privacy Policy.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Access and Deletion: You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information the Operator holds about you by emailing support@promethean-link.com. Because we collect very little data, most requests can be fulfilled within 30 days.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA): If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information (subject to certain exceptions), and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. The Operator does not sell or share personal information in the manner regulated by the CCPA. To exercise these rights, contact support@promethean-link.com.

European Union and UK Residents (GDPR/Data Protection Act): If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, and data portability of your personal information. The Operator is the data controller for support-request data you provide directly. Lemon Squeezy is the data controller for payment and subscription information. To exercise GDPR rights, contact support@promethean-link.com, and we will assist you or direct you to Lemon Squeezy as appropriate. If you believe your rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Residents of Other Jurisdictions: Similar rights may apply to you under local privacy laws (e.g., LGPD in Brazil, PIPEDA in Canada). Contact support@promethean-link.com to discuss your rights.

9. Children's Privacy

Promethean Link is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent or COPPA age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a child has provided information, please contact support@promethean-link.com and we will delete it.

10. Cookies and Tracking

Promethean Link does not set cookies or use persistent tracking identifiers. The website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not use fingerprinting or persistent identifiers. No cookie-consent banner is required because no cookies are set.

11. Changes to This Policy

The Operator may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes will be reflected in an updated "Effective date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Software or website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
